iVMS iPad Quick-Start Guide

This tutorial will guide you step-by-step accessing iVMS-4500 HD from an iPad. This guide is also available in Chinese



Part I - Initial Setup and Live Viewing

Step 1: Search the app store for "ivms" and select ivms-4500 hd





Step 2: Press "GET" next to iVMS-4500 HD


 

  

Step 3: Press the "install" button

  


Step 4: Press "Open" to Start the App

Step 5: Wait while the app loads




Step 6: Tap "Allow" to get Notifications from the App


  

Step 7: Swipe right through the info screens or tap "Skip" on the bottom right


Step 8: From the main screen, tap the Setup icon on the bottom left


  

Step 9: Swipe the demo DVR "Hangzhou, China" to the left to delete it

  

Step 10: Tap Delete to remove the demo DVR


Step 11: Tap the + icon to add your own DVR

  
  

Step 12: Enter the information provided to you by your installer, then tap Save





Step 13 : Tap the "Start Live View" button

  


Step 14 : See the Live View - in split screen showing all cameras.

Double-Tap any camera to go into single camera view.






To increase the image quality, click the window pane button





Select "Clear" for the best quality image.





"Clear" is the best image quality at the cost of fluidity/speed.

"Fluent" sacrafices image quality for faster more fluid video.

"Balanced" is a compromise between Clear and Fluent

"Custom" allows you to manually select the video resolution, framerate and bitrate.




Part II - Searching Recordings

Step 1: Tap the Remote Playback icon on the left as shown




Step 2: Press the down arrow next to the DVR name to see the camera list


 

  

Step 3: Select the time period you want to search "from" and "to" using the calendar

  


Step 4: Drag and drop a camera into the main window to begin playback for the selected time period.

Step 5: Slide the timeline left and right to jump to a specific time.




Step 6: Click the Full-screen icon to go into full-screen mode


  

Step 7: Click the full-screen icon to return to normal


Step 8: Drag and drop more than one camera into the window to do multi-camera split-screen playback


  

Many other useful icons are located at the bottom. The magnifying glass put you into "zoom" mode where you can pinch-to-zoom and slide to pan around the image.




The camera icon allows you to take a screenshot.

The scissors icon will begin recording a video clip.
Press scissors a second time to stop recording the clip.




Screenshots and video clips are saved within the app in the "Picture and Video" section.
